2012 Nissan Frontier, 89 000km, XG8A installed at 45 000km.
After a few minutes trying to do a neat job cutting the media out I gave up.
I just tore them out after that. That is one tough filter, no torn pleats on these things.
Media looks really clean, spotless in the can.

Based on how this one looked, the next one will probably be there till I sell the truck.

You left the filter on for 28,000 miles, am I reading that right?

Edit: Looks like we are in the transmission filter section. Plus the fluid is red. Looks legit.

I'd install a magnet on the filter as well. My magnefine filter media also was clear after 30k but lots of ferrous particles on the magnet.

I had similar results after the first year running a Napa Platinum (Wix XP) filter on the remote ATF on my F150. Now I just plan to service "every couple of years" or when the can develops more rust than I like.

Why? anything the magent catches will get trapped in the filter.
