FEDERATED PG 2500F CUT OPEN

Off of a friends 2016 Chevy Impala with Valvoline High mileage syn 5w30. Had about 5,5xx miles on oil and filter. Put a fram ultra 10575 and some Valvoline Advanced Syn (replaced Synpower name me thinks) 5w30 in and on. 49,000 miles on car as its a lady co workers car. Enjoy the pics

I haven't mailed those yet... after the flood of new filters and all the whiners who don't seem to like seeing inside filters before they get used, I figure I'll try to collect 5-7 used ones to send (after letting them drain, inside, for a week or so

). I got the van filters, will have probably two of the M20x1.5s off the Forester and Odyssey, and plan on doing an OCI on my mom's '18 Forester next month. That one's a Subaru "branded" oil filter, and I will be replacing it with one of the Napa Gold 7055's like we cut open earlier.

Thanks for the photos, never heard of this brand didn't realize it was a parts chain. I got a few of these in my Rockauto grab bag a few years back.

I think it's just an East Coast kinda thing... I've only ever seen one in Virginia.

I like the Federated Auto filters.... And this filter is $2.58 a pop. Good price has well. The black XL filter is only $5.39...

Yeah, there is a Federated Auto place near me and its always busy. They have their own oil too

One thing about the Premium Guard filters is they are really well put together. They are quality made. Even if it is from overseas. Strong Quality Control can make a difference.
