That's a shame, hopefully they're not the same style Purolators use. About the only louvers I really like are the ones seen in the FL500S and 400S filters, they're wide and nicely opened instead of little slits that are barely and sometimes not even open at all! I used to work in a locally owned quick lube placed that used jobber Purolator filters and inspected them with a flashlight before putting on a customers car, if any of them were closed up I'd chuck it and grab another! If I wouldn't put it on my engine, I wasn't about to put it on a customers!
