We drove home on Day 4, but stopped in Itasca State Park, which was beautiful. The trails are really nice, the Mississippi headwaters area is very interesting if you have any geography nerd in you, the largest white pine is impressive, and the old fire-spotting tower affords a fine view but makes one think about the metal fatigue as it sways in the wind. (144 steps up if anyone's interested.) A short cycling day of only 29 km, but very high quality stuff.
