Can't align text

Hi guys,

I tried posting my UOA however no matter what I try and do the forum ignores the spacing between the text and value and posts it with a single space.

e.g.:
Lead 42
Iron 13
Aluminum 3
Copper 6


How can I get it to align like a table to make it easy to read?

Additionally adding a picture to a post does nothing either.

Put [ code ] [ /code ] tags around the block of text that you want aligned. Just remove the spaces between the parentheses and the word code - I had to add them so that the tags would be visible in my post.

Example:
Code
Lead 42

Iron 13

Aluminum 3

Copper 6


You can click "Quote" on my post, and you will see what it should look like when you type it up.

I fill the space with dots to make them line up.

e.g.:
Lead.............42
Iron...............13
Aluminum.......3
Copper...........6

Quattro Pete's method is more elegant.
