This is one of my favourite tracks of the season! Steep climb from the starting grid, following with the double s turns with american flag's colours. A couple of hairpins and a long straight. And I love the fast and long right turn near the end, corners 17 & 18. A really wide track with even wider corners so that overtaking is relative easy. Overall a modern and nice looking track + all the extra hype/entertaining that only americans can do so well, for example:

Like it a lot! In my book, shares the first place with the Brazilian Interlagos track.

I'm a Vettel fan, but I was beginning to think the same thing earlier. As soon as Marchionne's health went down the toilet, the season went down the toilet - and that's coming from someone who initially accused the man of micromanagement.

He was a micromanager, but it would appear as a team they actually need it.

Team Ferrari has made more BAD decisions this year than they did last year, and last year was pitiful MHO

It's going to be a tough battle for Vettel to keep Lewis from taking the championship tomorrow. And even if he staved it off for one race, he can't possibly keep Lewis at bay for the rest of the season. Might as well get it over with earlier and move on.

I think that about tells it. Micromanagement is usually a bad thing, but it became apparent he needed to be peering over everyone's shoulders in person. Maybe they need a cardboard cutout or something standing in the back of the garage.

Patman: Well, it's possible, and Mercedes and Lewis do remember 2007 when he was at McLaren, had the season similarly in the bag near the end, and Kimi walked away with the title. Now, I doubt such a similar set of circumstances is likely to unfold, but it pays to keep one's head down until the end.

Now, if you really want to see something go off the rails, we need a spygate for this year where something causes all Mercedes points to be taken away. Now, that would be utter chaos.

I can't complain, at least not completely. A Lewis DNF would have been nice.

By the way, can someone please get Paul di Resta a job on a different network, or commentating for another series, or a seat in another series, or even a seat in F1? Like maybe, he and DC can swap networks or something? Sheesh.
