And here is exactly why

I am sure some folks here that are older than me remember him in his heyday

Agree … most so called comedians now are just agenda driven hacks …

He must have been the opposite of his stage persona. He was a near life-long friend of Bob Newhart. Tracy Morgan burst into tears talking about Mr. Rickles after his death.

Dangerfield was a joker even after he died. He is buried in a swanky Los Angeles cemetery. On his gravestone, under his name, it says:

"There goes the neighborhood!!" Look him up on findagrave.com

Rodney comes home at night and sees a guy running across the street naked.
'Hey, what's the big idea' he shouts, 'This is a nice neighborhood.'
'This is your fault,' the guy answers. 'I wouldn't be doin' this if you hadn't come home early.'

Do a search for Rodney on You Tube and laugh for hours.

I saw George Carlin in 2003, was awesome.

He was good...punchy one liners, stacked into one another.

(I like Steve Hughes, but really not safe for work)
