Jack Stands for 5.3L Chevy Silverado and other cars

In the market for some solid and safe jack stands.
Will be using jack stands for a 02' Silverado and for 1979 300sd Mercedes Benz (MB), 1988 300sel MB and 1970 280sel MB

Who manufactures solid and safe jack stands?

Any recommendation is greatly appreciated

Hein-Werner from Northern Tool. Made in the USA. The less expensive Chinese ones Northern Tool offers are
better than ones from Harbor Freight.

Keep in mind trucks usually need taller jack stands vs a car.
Your best off having stands for cars and taller stands for trucks.
I myself have 4 3-ton stands and 4 6-ton stands.

I have these in 6 ton and 3 ton.

The 6 ton are a slight overkill, but they have a much wider stance than the 3 ton.

Years ago, my Father made some.
He made (2) Small and (1) Large
He was a Welder by Trade.

These that he made were Heavy Duty but not as convenient to modern day ones.
The problem with these is that you had to get under the Vehicle to raise & lock.
I keep them in the Shed but use my store bought for any car repairs.
