Using only OE parts

I try to maintain an inventory of pre-tested OEM parts. AKA, parts car. Lot better and cheaper than buying stuff a piece at a time

Was the same with older Behr radiators... OEM part for MB with the star ground-off. I assume retooling the mold/die would be $$$. Cheaper to have Hans grind it off. I stick with OEM/OE for everything expect: fluids, spark plugs, brake pads, wiper inserts, tires, things of that nature.

If I could afford to use strictly OE parts, then I wouldn't be driving this worn-out jalopy in the first place....
