Looks pretty good...perhaps this oil has the most robust add pack for quart???

Michael

Well they certainly like to use boron and MO.

Calcium is pretty hefty too. and this Sb 226

are they pouring the additives by hand? I think someone had to trip at the blending plant.

Thanks for posting this Quaker State VOA!

Antimony, Sb, is listed at 226ppm.

What lab ran this analysis?

Sb=Antimony

It appears to me that perhaps Butler did the test, since they are now testing for Antimony.

Michael

Analysis by Knapp Chevrolet, Houston Texas.

MSDS to your link is from 2002. Outdated. New MSDS should be available for the SM formulation.

Oil is now in vehicle. 2004 Chevrolet Colorado 4X4, 4cyl. Will post a UOA. Friend at dealership runs analysis for me after hours.

Does it come in any other visc? Too bad quakerstate doesn't post the HTHS or noack or MRV numbers. Seems like it has potential.

Ah...thanks velociracer. The one I found must have been old. Yeah not the best but the HTHS On the 10w40 isn't bad. I may try that next in my BMW, for $2.50 can't beat it with a stick. BUT it only says SL for the 10w40. Wonder if they updated the additives anyway to be same as this 5w30? Is Butler still doing the free UOA if you send a bottle?
The other HTHS I should have expected. Typical of an API oil. Not much variances to be found.
