your thoughts on mixing

here is my question. I have a 2005 kawasaki vulcan 2000 (2053cc) cruiser. This bike take 5.8qts of oil. i have done a mixture using amsoil m/c oil. the mixture is 3-qts 10w40 and 2.8qts 20w50. Both oils are amsoil and both oils are from their motorcycle oil line. (the new stuff). what can you say good or Bad about doing this? thanks

Sounds good to me! I'd run in in my Vulcan (1500), if it were going to be very, very hot. 15-40 seems to hold up well in mine, but, it's not as potentially hot as yours.
