I'm using Havoline 20W50. Good numbers.

And the buck thirty something a quart is the best number of all...

i seen your post previously and i may give it a shot. I was wanting to run some synthetic just for a bit more high temp protection...although in all honesty, i dont really think it makes a lot of difference in the real world...

Update...

I went with the M1 15W-50 EP and have not had any clutch slippage issues. I've had it in there for around 800 miles so we'll see how it holds up. I know Suzuki suggests a 10W-40 but I figured this was close enough as I rarely ride in really cold temps. It seems like it starts better and warms faster than with the M1 20W-50 V-Twin oil.

I also have a V-Strom (DL1000K5) and I use Rotella T 5W-40 Synthetic. My understanding is that the V-Twin Mobil 1 is more for air-cooled bikes like Harleys. The Rotella is a great performer and only $14 a gallon here in GA at WMT.

Most of the the Goldwingers I know run Rotella 5w/40 (I just changed oil in my '98 with Rotella

). I may start using it in my '97 Nighthawk once it's time to change out the M1 15w/50EP.
