It was free. Aside from the slight charcole look, the only problem with this unit was the broke power valve where it appeard to be broke at a connection. There was no build up on the slides and the slides moved up and down freely.

It is not uncommon to see this with this oil. Many standard two strokes will create a hard carbon deposit mostly around the exhaust ports and this is where power is lost in many lawn equipment and such.

Thanks ...I already looked through all the BP stuff ...pretty interesting technology.

BTW, British Petroleums new 5w-30, synthetic diesel oil - "Vanellus C8 Ultima" was Lubricants World "product of the year" for 2002. It's a PAO/Ester extended drain synthetic that meets all the newest specs. Supposed to be introduced in the US sometime in the next year.

Looks like the Series 3000 is finally getting some competition after six years

it already has competion. PC 5w40. Specs are just as good if not better, analysis is very good and is less than half the price. Cant beat it for 10k drains IMO
