Chevy Silverado, Tire and Suspension question

An 05 Silverado we owned had 265/70/17's as OEM IIRC. We downsized at tire time to 245's. Ride was marginally improved.

Biggest improvement was from a set of Gabriel Ultras. An amazingly cheap shock with a great ride for all light and medium duty trucks.

Thats exactly what I am doing. 1) Removed aftermarket leveling kit. 2) New shocks 3) corrected all inflation pressures and 4) will replace with stock sized tires later.
