Took a sample for an oil analysis.

Was planning on running some of the free-after-rebate Rotella 10w-30 from early this year's AZ clearance, but noticed that though the 2.5 gallon jugs are graduated, there's not a transparent window with which to simply determine the level of oil in the jug.

Oil filter: Fram Orange can 7317 left on. This filter will be run for a total of at least 9500 miles.

It had 3500 miles on that run. It does run rather good in my car. I think for $21.50 it is a ok deal from O Reilly's. Keeps me out of other stores.

Thanks BBhero, i'm approaching 4500 miles & 6 months, thinking of changing over Christmas when I have a bit of spare time. If I think I will find a bit of time later, I'll let the oil go longer.

This only full synthetic I've seen at O'really's in over a year has been their house brand for $23 a five quart Jug.

Around my area it is paired with a Wix filter. $28.99. Wix filter is $7.49 so the MSS is $21.49. Which is fine with me.

This was the 2nd and final GM paid change on this truck. My BITOG ocd kicks in when someone else does oil changes for me.
Already checked wheel torque from rotation. Checked oil level...all seems well. They did mess with my tire pressures....ugh!
Dealers!
