Remember when the road from Aspen to Highway 24 was gravel. At one time this area of Colorado was well off most tourists' itinerary. Expect CO-82 is now closed until spring. Great deer and elk country. The road between Ridgeway and Dolores was probably the most secluded of the many vistas Colorado has to offer. Not anymore.
