Just the tip of the iceberg fellas. I could have posted twice as many links but this should get the point across.

LOL with obsolete data you don't prove anything that relates to today other than you don't like Fram filters. I didn't either 15 years ago.

19 links ranging from 2002-2014 from domestics to imports to classics to motorcycles and beyond.(and I could have linked 100 more) 15 year old data? The FRAM apologists on this forum are stunning. I'm having so much fun throwing fire on this hot steaming pile of repentant garbage.

I don't use them either, by the way.

I carefully read through all the links you posted, and most of them could be explained by things other than defects in design or manufacturing, and were not supported with pictures or other proof. I was hoping that maybe you had something to offer as opposed to rants and unsupported Internet links but I guess not.

I see you joined recently just to warn us about Fram. That's awesome, thanks. We were so clueless before!

You can look up defects on ANY product. If you like Bosch filters, there's countless of complaints about them too. If you like Wix filters there complaints too.

If you like Windows or Mac computers, there's plenty of complaints about both.

All companies make mistakes, and when a company as large as Fram makes a mistakes, people talk about it.

The links you posted mean nothing.

I found confirmation that it was RockAuto last year for my filter stash.

Thanks for the info. I sent an email through the Fram website. Actually sent it earlier, but since there was 8MB of pics attached, I apparently shut down the laptop before it finished sending.

They have it as of Friday night. I would expect an answer this week.
Again, this can happen to any manufacturing process. Not slamming Fram. I'll have no problem with putting in another Fram, but will inspect it closely next time, along with any other brand.

Frams people have replied. UPS label received. Package with filter being sent this morning.
Pretty good warranty response, if you ask me.
Of course, if they deny responsibility.......

Found receipt. It was RockAuto last summer when there was a sale.

Glad to say that Fram made good on this defective filter.
I truly appreciate their customer service in this case, and see no reason not to use their products in the future!

I dont like FRAM but this has happened to me with WIX along with an oil filter gasket leaking everywhere.

I had the same issue with a Wix about 10 years ago. IIRC it had the orange colored seal. Only other issues I ever had in my 35+ years of amateur (and professional) mechanicin' was an old Lee filter 35 years ago) leaked at the base and a Taiwanese H-D filter from the early 1990s was so thin it warped when I tightened it.
