For a Saab, that is simple: NGK only. Nice thing is they are dirt cheap...

I use what the OEM calls for. Honda gets NGK, BMW gets Bosch. Although Honda does also use Denso, but every single engine I have seen with a plug blowing out of the cylinder has been a Denso plug.

For fords I have used the autolite platinum XP with good results.

+1.....has worked perfectly on my 03' Ford Focus....when I changed them out at 105K. I now have about 147K.
