I remember changing the fluid and filter on a old Dodge van, it was a Slant 6 bolted to a A727. That motor was big in person. All I remembered of being driven in it is that it had pull off the line, once we got moving it felt a little weak.
I wondered if this motor would be less of a pig with some sort of fuel injection.
