GF's Liberty (2008 w/3.7 V6) got 4 qts Amsoil SS and 1 qt Schaeffer 9000 (both 5w30) and a Wix XP. Oil filter is a BEAR to get to so will go the full 15k.

2015 Malibu, 2.5 liter. 50,000 miles.
Out, don't know, had a Car Quest white filter on it.
In, Pennzoil Euro AV, 5-30, and a Hastings filter.
Yes, it absolutely is a non spec oil. But considering the specs it meets, I think the Malibu will be just fine at a 5000 mile OCI.
And considering where the owner gets her changes done, likely a better oil than was in it.
A 13.00 oil change.

Changed the oil in my trusty SL2 today @ 4812 miles.

3 quarts of Mobil 1 5w-30 + 1 quart Mobil 1 HM 5w-20 + 15 ounce bottle of STP HM treatment & Bosch D3422, added some neodymium magnets as pictured...

Road trip!

It's always entertaining to see what they catch!

In My (former) 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8, the magnets were always completely covered.

But in my F150 4.6 with many more miles, there's always very little on them.

Did an oil change last week on my '07 Ram
Valvoline Full Synthetic High Mileage with MaxLife 0w20
Mobil 1 Filter (used last time and it SAYS it is good for 20k miles but I'm suspicious...thoughts?)

135k on the dot. 5k interval. Have since put on 2.5k due to vacation driving (went up to CT and RI to see family and then into NYC to see a buddy). Lots of running around.
Sent off my first oil sample for analysis. Trying to see if I can go to a 10k interval. I got into Virginia Tech and it is a 1hr drive through the mountains from my home and a 40min drive from where I work (work to home is 30min). Going to school full time and trying to stay a full time worker as well is going to lead to A LOT of miles. Hope I can save a few bucks.
