It's and ILX.

No problem doing that if you are doing a lot of highway driving. It is short trips that the OLM can not calculate for properly.

Actually, he is only averaging 7400 miles per oil change.

Wouldn't that car have the MM system which takes short trips into account?

Yes, but I find it is not aggressive enough to properly account for it. Just my opinion.

But then he has to get his hands dirty.. and oh think of the humanity when he has to drive the car up on ramps and GET ON HIS BACK to drain the oil!

Didn't intend to diss the guy... Acura gave him a car to drive. Maybe dealer service was part of the deal and besides he has no time to do that stuff he's always driving on the weekends to get those miles.

It seems as though the dealer charges an extra $100 each to install a cabin filter or air filter. By comparing the cost of an oil change versus the cost of an oil change and a new filter. If he could simply pop those in he could save some.

Looks like he paid a guy $127 to do the brake pads, serpentine belt and an air filter towards the end of the maintenance log.

Funny on one tire change he ordered through Tire Rack and had DT do the install. Next tire change DT did everything.

What do you mean by "low performance"?

Although it is not as good as the oldschool F20/F22 or K20Z3, it is one of the most powerful naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engines on the market. Basically, ILX is a Civic SI in a tuxedo, and the result is pretty impressive, considering it still runs on its original clutch.

I agree that 400k is easy for that engine.
