Yeah pretty much. I tried cutting the base of the can with tin snips as I always do with puro/MC filters, but the can on this one was a little too thick, so I had to resort to the angle grinder with a cut-off wheel.
MC filters are just thin enough to cut them with tin snips around the base of the can. Makes for a nice clean opening.
