What if it is the same or similar formulation that it's LubeGard or LiquiMoly?

I would give it a shot, especially for free.

Still remember Indy Driver Al Unser stumping for this stuff in the 1980's or 1990's. He'd supposedly dump out all his oil treated with prolong. Then drover around a road course for a few miles on no oil. Where can I get some?

Should show up on an MSDS. Its no secret thats whats in there. Only the percentage might be in question.

MSDS:

"The classification pertaining to the chlorinated paraffin is applicable to commercial
chlorinated paraffin of average carbon chain-lengths of C12. The chlorinated paraffin
present in this product is a chlorinated paraffin of a longer carbon chain-length, which is
considered an IARC Class 3 for carcinogenicity (limited evidence). Petroleum products are
known to cause cancer because of carcinogenic components (e.g. benzene). These
carcinogenic components may be removed during the refinement process. "

I thought the Original Poster was referring to the engine oil additive which contains three metals in a colloidal suspension. The metals are supposed to fill any asperities and raise compression on beaters.

Okay, thanks, so it's the Prolong Engine Treatment with their AFMT.

Posters' need to delineate which OTC additive product they're referring to since OTC additive companies market a lot of different products.

From the msds it appears to be primarily a mix of cleaning solvents in a napthenic carrier.

If it does contain a chlorinated paraffin I would walk away (or run) from it.

"... cleaning solvents in a napthenic carrier."

That's because the MSDS shown is for Prolong Fuel Injector Cleaner.

I know that. Then why interject an MSDS for an injector cleaner if the OP is discussing the oil additive (Engine Treatment)?.

Let's clarify:

The Injector cleaner is:

Product identifier
Product Name Prolong Injector Cleaner
Other means of identification PSL16040

Recommended use of the chemical and restrictions on use
Recommended Use Gasoline Fuel Injector Cleaner
