this one one of two model years known for a 'soft' cam..lubed with D1 5/40..valves were ticking since late winter, adjusted only to tick again shortly, intake follower dished out..mechanic pulled the head right after a 60mi. day in the forest lifters slapping that whole time...here's the dished intake lifter culprit...


 
I'm going to try to post hi-rez pics this weekend if the mechanic is available.
 
from stuck in swamp to fording rivers our ATV's subject to grueling service year round here at 46 degrees north...and this had a steady diet of TCW-3, as in every fuel-up, not intermittent.

Ungrateful skeptics? No, not at all. But acknowledgement of basic and rudimentary scientific method would be appreciated.

I have pictures on BITOG of my 1MZ-FE at 300,000 miles and before, and I've never used TCW in my fuel. What does that show or prove about not using it? I'll answer for you, it shows nothing.
