Honda Type 2 coolant shelf life?

I've been using the same gallon container to top off my previous Honda for a good 7 years, and it's still about 3/4 full. I just got another, newer Honda that also calls for Type 2, and I was wondering if I can keep using the same old stuff or if I should get a brand-new gallon of coolant.

I bought my jug 4/15/08 and I'm still using it. Factory fill is good for ten years.

The jug spent most of its life in a Rubbermaid-style container in my car's trunk.

As long as it has been sealed properly, I don't see a problem.

Type 2 is good for 10 years in the engine, I would imagine it would be good for longer than that sitting in the jug.
