any new car batteries with the built in hydrometer

Had one on my brothers Honda pilot. Battery was dead as a doornail and the light was still green. Only a couple years old too. My brother thought the car was broken when it wouldn't start. lol

Exactly. If a battery had 1 for each cell it may be usefull (to see if you had a dead cell) but otherwise it is pretty much useless.

The only newish car I've ever owned that had a battery die prematurely was a '14 Accord...factory battery died at 24 months of age. They replaced it under warranty with a 100 month battery. Tiny little thing, but one heck of a warranty.
