Using ~1 qt per 1000 miles, so it gets a complete oil change every 5k miles.
Plan on changing the filter every 10k miles.

Using blue OEM filters. This fill is the last of this discontinued Castrol GTX synthetic blend oil purchased at AutoZone several years ago for $1/qt. on clearance. M1 will likely be next.

My partner has a 2013 1.2 3 cylinder VW Polo which has had dealer only servicing since new, currently 28k on the clock.

VW reccomends 10k/1yr intervals.

It's about half way between its last and next service and the oil didn't look too healthy so swapped it out.

Out... VW 5w30 504/507 oil. I suspect Quantum brand.

In.. ASDA own brand 5w40 502/505 fully synthetic oil.
