KitchenAid Magnetic Drive Blender anyone have it?

Looking to purchase one as an alternative to the Vitamix.
Sure, the Vitamix is a well-known brand, but the KA seems to have very good reviews as well.

Anyone have first-hand experience with it?

It doesn't look like it's in the same class as Vitamix but owners seem to like it based on the reviews.

Unsure about the "class" point, as it has about the same hp/wattage motor.

I like the idea of starting it and walking away while it does it's magic. My SO is always in the kitchen, and when she's busy, she has multiple things going at once. Having this take care of itself for the minute or two would really help out.

Vitamix is made a few miles away from my location. I think they sell reburbs at a lower price. Great warranty. So powerful that you can make a soup with them that comes out hot.

We have a Blendtec classic and it is a beast. We bought a referb at a very reasonable price.

Whatever blender I buy, I'll make sure to run the smartphone test on it first.
