Filter was a Wix XP. I have really had good results with magnatec, makes my cars run smooth & quiet on cold starts. This is the first analysis I've had done, the cobalt has an oil life monitor that said the oil had 25% life left when I changed it. I added about 1 total quart of make up oil over the 6400 miles, which was a 50/50 mix of mobil 0w-40 and magnatec 5w-20. Oil pan is a little seepy, not enough to leave a puddle, I think the engine just consumes oil for some reason. Magnatec has 11.2 cst @ 100c, so it didn't lose much viscosity at all. I could probably run this oil for at least 12,800 miles.
My other vehicle is a 2000 escort ZX2 with 150k miles, magnatec is the only stock oil I've tried that quiets the noisy flat-tappet cams on cold starts. I'm running mobil 0w-30 in the zx2 right now, with the rislone ZDDP additive with similar results, much more expensive though. I'll be switching back to magnatec in the future with these results. TBN was great for 6400 miles
