I am a backer of their original Kickstarter campaign before they moved to Indiegogo. I am also a mechanical and materials engineer and doing some biotribology work in our lab.
I had seen the guy in a video giving an opening keynote presentation in Wind tribology section of Society of tribologists and Lubrication Engineers two years ago which was quite interesting
and at the time the price was too prohibitive to enter into a broader market. His collaborator at the time from Argonne National Lab is a superstar of tribology and current president of STLE.
The material itself is not traditional moly, borate or carbon based which is quite interesting.
I am curious about performance in real cars and will update as it goes.
