The Author of "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" has passed.

Even though I never met him, his writing had a profound effect on my life.

Rest In peace, Sir.

Yes, indeed. I need to go back and re-read this book. The main thing I remember is his lesson to never trust a mechanic who listens to the radio while working. Powerful food for thought among a generation that does nothing (well) with earbuds in 24/7.

Another way to look at it, is that 121 Publishers made an epic business mistake, considering the book sold 5,000,000+ copies..

I did post this in the Motorcycle section, and the Author did ride a Motorcycle. But really the book wasn't so much about maintaining or riding a Motorcycle. It was one Man's Philosophy of life.

Since he passed away, I thought I'd acknowledge that.

RIP.

Like any classic book it stands reading many times to get the best out of it. I read it about once every 2 years and it never disappoints with the exception that like any classic book you wish it was longer.
