The Pennzoil "cleaning" myth has really taken ahold on this forum.

I used PUP for 60,000 miles and it did absolutely nothing. (besides rapidly burning out of my crankcase)

Maybe try Pennzoil gold syn blend if you're not wanting to go full syn right away. Those engines are tough, even completely sludged up they seem to just keep on going. Leave it up to Toyota for building some of the best engines out there!

I would replace the pcv, continue 5k oci with 5 or 10w30 of your choice (I use AZ clearance oils) and use 5 min motor flush every couple of OCIs. It works for me.

My car burned through PUP like no other.

I'm getting much better results with other brands.
