How to gap twin tip plugs?

Hi guys,

So I ordered and received a set of BKR7EKC-N spark plugs.
I wanted to gap them to the right measurement (1.1mm) but when I opened the box these had twin tips on them like this:

How do I gap these?

I guess like any other plug. Measure, then lift or depress the tip for both. Electricity should follow one or the other path, which ever is easiest.

The gap on these is side to side rather than up/down like a conventional plug.

And measuring this poses some kind of issue from what I see

NGK doesn't recommend it but you can if you must for some reason e.g.dropped it with a wire gauge on both sides.

Is the gap off? Those fit very few vehicles so they should be pregapped.

If they did need to be gapped you gap them with the same tool you use for platinum/iridium plugs...

But unless it was dropped or really off then I would not mess with it.

The more I read, the more I'm changing my vote to this.

If this is NOT going in an aircraft, I would go to a single tip design.

You don't. I bought the 4 prong Bosch plugs, those styles don't need to be gapped.

If it were a precious metal plug with thin electrode you absolutely do not want to mess with them, yours are standard electrode and not as fragile but like I said only if you must not as routine plug inspection before installation.
