Am I stretching my OCI too far?

I use my truck to pull a landscaping trailer, so it really piles on the hours more than miles. I try and shoot for 250-300hr oci, but it frequently gets up to 320-350hrs, which is 6-7000 miles. Opinions? I frequently see people run 10,000 mile oci on these cummins since they're supposedly pretty easy on oil.

Only way you will tell is with a UOA. How much oil does it need during an oil change? (Sump capacity?)

Holds 12 quarts, hard to tell, but I think it burns about a quart in all that time.

IMO you are fine.
I have never run a diesel on a lower OCI than what you run and I have many hundreds of diesels in the fleet - F350, Transits, Internationals, Hinos, Sprinters.
And they really get "beat on".

I would run Shell T6 in my 1999 Cummins 18000 miles and UOA said it was fine.

Each qt. Is getting about 25h of usage. That makes 300h for the 12qt. I think that's easy.
