Post your latest small engine oil change

Ingersol air compressor

5.0 HP Briggs

Out: Black mystery oil
In: Supertech 15/40

This compressor was given to me. The carb surges and needs work on the linkage. I will run some carb cleaner in the gas and see if that helps. If not I will tear down the carb and rebuild it. The engine doesn't burn oil. Right now it runs ok but I will give it some attention and see what i can do.

Generac pressure washer, Honda GX160 5.5 HP.
Out, not sure, likely Delo straight 30 weight.

In, VR-1 synthetic 20w50. Yep, it's thick, but at one point in the GX line, Honda had 20w50 in the temp chart. Overseas kart racers regularly use 15w50 as their "official" oil for the GX160. I'm not concerned, I don't think you can kill a Honda small engine with any oil choice.

Also replaced the carburetor with an Everest kit. The whole carb was about 16.00 on Amazon, and included the tank screen/fitting, fuel line, and gaskets. Nifty kit, about 30 minutes of work, fired up quickly and settled into an even idle. The old carb had something wrong, for the price, not worth troubleshooting. Engine would not start without ether, took forever, surged, and if ran out of fuel, the whole process was repeated.

I bought a slightly used 4 stroke Craftsman trimmer. Not sure what oil was in it but when running it I got hear unstable high RPMs. Dumped it out and filled with Quaker State Ultimate Durability. Engine works really well now.

I bought my daughter a 195 CC walk behind "Yard Works" mower in 2012.
I didn't notice at the time it was one of those never change the oil models with no drain plug.
I expected the FF to look like black paint mixed with road kill, but it was surprisingly clear.
Why? Because for every hour of use it consumes about half of its oil capacity.
Nevertheless, I turned it upside down in a bucket and refilled it with 700ml of GTX 10W40 I found in her shed.

John Deere D140 lawn tractor. In and out:

Mobil 1 10w30 EP and Wix 51348 filter.

52 hours on the machine and 24 hours on the oil and filter. This seems like a waste, but the manual calls for a change every 12 months or 50 hours, whichever comes first.
