Why does the yard smell like the speedway ?

After a few weeks nearly continuous rain, interspersed with a few majorly sunny days, the yard was out of control.

Had to mow the front twice, and the back with the catcher rather than mulch...weedwhacker too much.

So grabbed the castor oil out of the medicine cabinet, and dosed up both the mower and the whacker.

Wife came out in the middle and asked the above question.

Was totally un-necessary, but made the chore much, much more tolerable.

So it smells nice. I vaguely remember when running the old Cox engines. I'd like to create some designer scents for the car shows. Jegs has them but they are way expensive.
 
I've tried that a time or two.
The castor oil seemed to settle out if the cycle (in my case) sat for a day or two.
Mixed back up when filling the gas tank the next time.
