Read the policy and see if it covers what you & your family need/use most often. Also, call your PCP and other specialist that you & your family use e.g.(cardiologist, chiropractor, OB/GYN etc.) to see if they're accepting Cigna. Not all do in my area!

Often a doctor's office will tell you how easy/difficult an insurance company is to deal with in terms of getting approvals for procedures etc. & payments. My PCP and other specialist told me that certain insurance co's are difficult to deal with and not worth it for the patients...this could be the deal breaker.

Thank you- I am doing so now. I learned from CareFirst that those list of Docs in your area are often worthless.
What you said is spot on. CareFirst lied to me yesterday and gave me the back alley and now I can apply for another policy. Thanks!

I would approach it how CharBaby has suggested -- ask the doctors you intend to use and see if they are in network, or how they cover the procedures.
