Toilet paper oil filter

My auction site filter arrived. A vintage, good condition SKY manufactured Frantz. Cleaned it up, found that the design is really unique, especially for the time it was made. Output is restricted, oil enters the center, up the tube, and through the whole of media, exiting through a pattern of about 1mm grooves under the media to a common point.
I ordered and received a new clamp, synthetic media and base gaskets from the new LSI owners (they posted earlier in the thread) that are direct replacements for now 50 year old SKY units. If you guys are reading, I could use a new center oring that goes between the metal ring and media. You should offer that in the parts list!
The new media is solid feeling, and it's not a rolled paper, but what they describe as "melt blown" media that filters to 2 micron.
I was a little leery at first, but with the latest media and clamp, I think the thing has really good potential as a cheap, but efficient filter. Total cost so far, 115.00
We will see....
