Synthetic blend oil change interval?

If it's anything like the 2 Civics I had ('89 & '90), if he keeps the timing belt changed & keeps decent antifreeze in it, the engine will EASILY outlast the body, no matter what he uses for oil. Any major label 5W30, for 5000 miles, is more than enough, whether it's a syn blend (as many of the so-called conventionals, like VWB, are now), or good old ST dino juice.

What makes you say this? I don't think diesel was ever mentioned.

May be because it was posted here at the Diesel Cars/Vans/SUVs section.

My manual states to change it every 3000 miles, so simple i change the oil 3000 miles using a synthetic blend :)
Using the cheap orange fram filters.

I have grown very fond of syn blend HDEO's. Mostly Delvac and Schaeffer. All I have used for the last several years. They do a great job and are a far better overall value. I take my oil changes 50% beyond the OEM recommended drain interval currently. That interval developed with many UOA's to back it up. It does depend on the vehicle and the application.

Yes, it is a diesel section.
