Anyone know what the deal is with the parentheses - eg. (15a) vs 15a - in the owner's manual section that lists all the fuse information? I've seen it in most other manuals for my cars, but never gave it a thought before. I thought maybe it was "switched" vs "constant" powered fuses, but that pattern doesn't seem to hold either. Thanks.

It doesn't mean anything about the rating of the fuse. Just different notations like "Fuse 3, 15A" vs "#3(15A)".

Also pay attention as to whether or not the original fuse is a fast blow (usually an AGC type) or a slow blow (an MDL type) if you have to replace it.

Generally speaking, if this is for 12V operation, it should be a 32V rated fuse; If this is for 120V operation, it should have a 250V rating.
