Same Yamaha triple. Sperate oils for engine and clutch.

Any experience running these oils in bikes? Just curious if they hold up.

Yamaha specs 1600 mile interval on dino oil.

I have run a mix of 10W-30 and 20W-50 in my BMW several times with great OA results. No clutch or oil in my crankcase.

Getting hard to find the Synthetic VR-1 in stores and the 10W-30 is nowhere. Stopped in 10 Houston area Auto stores last month...all I saw was a few bottles of conventional 20W-50.

I've ran the Vr1 in an Evo and a twin cam 96 for several years. It has gotten good reviews/uoa's here, and on a Harley forum I visit. I use the conventional Vr1 20w50 and change it out at 2,500 miles. Member sunruh here thinks it's a very good oil for Harley's.

Bike specs everything from a 10w40 to a 20w60 in the engine side.

I typically just do 0w40 in everything, but these yamaha triples seem much much quieter running thicker oils.

The trans shifts completely differently going from 10w40 yamalube to 15w50. Like butter.
