M1 0W40 FS for MB229.5 - shorten OCI?

Have a 2005 E500 with W4 5.0L V8. Oil spec is MB 229.5. Been running M1 0w40 for years at 10K OCIs.

With the new FS version maybe having some shearing issues, thoughts on whether I should shorten the OCI to 6-7K with the M1 0w40 FS?

Nope. You car does not have direct injection. No worries there.

When my supply of old M1 0/40 runs out, I'm switching to Castrol.

Interesting, I'll be following these threads. I've been using Edge lately just 'cuz, maybe I'll stick with it a while.

I'd move to Castrol 0W-40.

Mobil 0W-40 FS is not the same as the old product.
