Castrol Edge 0w30 NLA?

It's no longer on their website or in my local stores....so how does it compare with M1 0w40 in terms of thickness?

it is a bit thinner than M1 0w40

FWIW, Edge 0w40 is similar to M1 0w40.

I was lucky enough to get two oil changes worth of the 0w30 during Pep Boys' founders day sale

The M1 FS 0w-40 version has been diluted a bit. Not quite as much the same as the Castrol. The 0w-30 Castrol might actually be the overall closer product to the M1 0w-40.

And the M1 0w-40 vs. Castrol 0w-40 add packs are quite different too.

Just use Edge 0w40.

My guess is Castrol eliminated the 0w30 because it was redundant. The 0w40 carries all the same specs and more, and has very similar HT/HS and 100c viscosity.
