Thanks for your help everyone! I'll try and see if I can get the new one to go in.

And Colt, I just checked the number on the old one and it is the 1F1T-9F924-AA. So that could make things more interesting.

Update: SUCCESS!!!!

Had the chance to try again and got the switch in. The rod did ratchet back as it was supposed to and now the cruise is now working great! Thanks again everybody for your input!

Since my '01 was already wired for it, I swapped in brand new power adjustable pedals. This was in '12, so I cannot recall all the specifics off the top of my head. However, I do distinctly remember replacing the CCDS. The one I installed had a longer actuator rod than the one I pulled out with the fixed pedals I had. I do remember the one I pulled out had a part number starting with "X". I will have to take a look, I still have the part some place.
