The old filter looks practically new. Appears the front bumper cover has to come off to replace. I wonder if that's a Fram replacement.

Looks very similar to the vw 2.5L filter which is also long and narrow.

Removing the bumper cover is probably pretty easy, and lets you clean stuff you couldnt reach otherwise... lets make lemonade from lemons

There's probably plenty of people out there thinking they're smarter than Porsche and will want to put in a K&N or even a "Cold Air Intake"

I know I'm talking to a wall here, but...

It IS possible to improve upon OEM performance. There are Panamera Turbos making 800hp+

The missing element to any Cold Air Intake is a leaf grinder at the hose end.

They're finely ground and sent to the engine for ingestion.
