AGCO Automotive Corporation hosts the radio show titled the "Automotive Hour" with Louis Altazan and co-host Brian Terry ( http://www.agcoauto.com/content/Radio ). I like to listen to their podcasts, and I was listening to an old recording dated from January 18, 2014 ( http://www.agcoauto.com/podcast/2014-01-18.mp3 ).

At approximately 37:40 into the podcast, a caller asks, "What's the difference is between synthetic oil and regular oil?"

*I* think there answer is pretty accurrate, but I thought I'd share this for your entertainment value.

I'm not aware of a transcript (but that's not saying there isn't one).

Did about 15 mins ... Pretty sharp dudes right there Breaux ... thanks for posting ...

Apart from the guy confusing Group III for Group IV, he says nowadays synthetics are marketing because you never know what's inside a quart container, if PAO, Esters or Group IV (III)...

I listen to their podcasts as well. Very knowledgeable and unbiased; I've learned a lot from Louis and Brian.
