To each their own...Don't worry the Jetta and Honda have NO chance of ever sounding like that.


I love the note of a bare exhaust flathead at idle. Its no powerhouse but it sounds so right.

I like the sound of lope, but not sure I could live with it. Daily driver, I'd rather have a dead silent turbo motor.

But isn't it like a diesel's clatter.....? As soon as you leave idle the sound is gone.

Lope usually means it can be soggy on the bottom rpm. Fair point though. But if I crank it interior sound proofing so as to have a quiet ride, then I'm just making noise for others.
