As long as there are no physical tearing of the filter from the rubber seal, it's fine.

I've ordered from Amazon before for my air filters with no issues.

If you're desperate for a AC Delco air filter, Wal-Mart should have them also.

Well, you could do what I did, and buy a few of them at once. The shipping was the same for 3 as it was for 1. I got them for about $6.50 each after shipping (Price for my Fusion was about $4.50 each before shipping).

You paid for a brand new filter, to receive anything less is unacceptable. Call and complain, get a replacement, and use that with confidence.
