Hi all: I would like a rechargeable work light to take with me under the car for oil change, or to hang from the latch on the hood, plus use for all-around house repair projects. I have used an old-style corded trouble light for decades. Are the LED style lights like this one brighter than the "tube" lights I see on the snap-on site and the like? I already have a Makita drill so I already have the battery packs for this light, but think it looks a bit goofy with the drill looking handle. What do folks think of this one? I think their quality is great and it has a 3 year warranty and under $50 USD at Home Depot.

I found this snap-on but it is not nearly as adjustable in angles as that Makita.

This snap on looks really great for taking underneath the car but doesn't have "hook"! I guess you can't always get everything you want.

Any other choices out there I haven't found that have the hook and have an internal battery so you don't have to buy a separate battery and charger? I found some "no-name" ones on Amazon but want something nice like the ones above.

LED over tubes.
Makita makes mroe sense if you already have battery/cahrger.
That Makita DML801 light can be had for cheaper new on felabay from sellers that break out combos and sell them piecemeal.

Thanks: Couldn't find a "felabay" but did find "fleabay". Is that what you meant? The latter didn't have any. Just talked with Snap-On about their Blue Point light I linked. I had never heard of Blue Point but they said it is their "economy" rechargeable. Think the Makita rechargeable is probably a better light now - it just looks like a genetic cross between a drill and a light!

I have one of these NEBO light
With the magnet in the bottom it will stick most anywhere. ( except a new Ford truck body

) I use rechargeable batteries in mine.

After extensive experience with both, I have found that Milwaukee is better than Makita and the batteries (Lithium) last longer. And LED type is the way to go.

Thanks everyone:

JHZR2.. That Bosch one looks nice. Kind of like the Snap On ones I linked but I suspect the battery technology on the Bosch might be better? I know SnapOn has high-tools but not so sure about rechargeable technology. Question... Bosch and other site don't have good photos. Does it happen to have a fold out hook so you can hook it onto the latch of a hood for illumination under the hood? I'm going to get prices for the battery/charger that this one needs.
