M-104 : Extended Version Available ?

Is there an extended version of the Mobil 1 M- 104 oil filter ?

The ol' "PH3593A" size never really caught on. I guess Mobil never sold enough to make it worthwhile to tool up for a longer one.

My Yanmar YM2000 uses this size.

I have always used a Napa 1334 in this application. It's a little it longer.

Look at the Fram ultra synthetic oil filter XG9688. It's also a little it longer than the M-104

OH, the Fram XG7317 (taller & skinnier) also typically fits where the PH3593A & M-104 would.

It crosses to the Mobil M1 M-110

Worth a try..... but it "looks" like the M-104 will have more filter media area from the picture

Maintaining the same thread size / fit it appears the Fram XG9688 is about as good as it gets .

Only Wix still make that size filter in an upsize version. Wix 51344 (Napa 1344)

The "Longest" you'll get is the Fram PH2849A, Wix/Napa 51347/1347, or equivalent
